What do you think of these Smart Meters

What do you think of these Smart Meters?
I'd like to hear everyone's opinion. My apartment complex had PG & E or Wellington install a smart meter. My bill from PG & E shot up an extra $100. Now lets see, I live alone, I work 8hrs a day five days a week. I'm hardly ever here. I shut off everything, all but the AC when I leave. Who wants to walk into a 100 degree house after work?..! No one. SO Basically this is a way to control all of us...is it not. I can't speak for anyone other than myself, but I am a responsible person and I pay my taxes in this F! country! and I don't need a machine to or a government to tell me how to conserve electricity. Let me tell you what I think this smart meter will bring for America's future...The working class is the heart of this country and when you take away our freedom of chose, you'll run us out. Right the Hell out! Without our tax dollars you can say goodbye to world order and peace.

The AC uses a lot of power, that's really a waste to leave it on when you're at work or not at home. It only takes like a half hour to cool down a house..... You'd save a lot of money by turning that AC off.

Why don't you get a programmible thermostat and set it to turn the A/C on about an hour before you get home?
