my The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime book report! Help me with it plz?
Im done with my book report, but I need help with it. I need some help with putting drama vocabulary in it so that i could adapt to my art, which is drama; Im having a little trouble with that. Any ideas and help would be greatly appreciated. Here is my book report: The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night- Time By Mark Haddon Have you ever wondered what an autistic child thinks? Or how they act compared to normal humans? If so, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night- Time is a book you would want to read! This book lets you take a glimpse of an autistic child’s mind and characteristics. Written in a form of a novel by an arithmetically- gifted autistic teenager named Christopher John Francis Boone, this story lets us experience a bittersweet journey of a self- discovery of him finding the world the most confusing place to be. I will represent this book by adapting it to my art, which is drama. Why? Because drama is the art that I am majoring in and I want to let my creativity and imagination flow in this book report. One night on the lawn of Christopher Boone’s neighbor, Mrs. Shears, Christopher discovers a dead poodle, Wellington that was penetrated by a garden fork. The police officer came and asked him if he killed Wellington. Christopher couldn’t answer the questions because they were coming at him so fast. He rolled back onto the lawn and pressed his forehead to the ground and groaned and the policeman touched him. Because Christopher does not liked to be touched, he assaults the police officer and gets arrested as the result. After his release, Christopher decides to play detective. He loves Sherlock Holmes but does not like the person who created him. Christopher sets out to find out who killed Wellington. But, there are obstacles that surround him. His father orders him to keep his nose out of people’s business. As an autistic, he has a difficulty socializing with others. Also he cannot read facial expressions which will make it even harder to solve the case. However, he understands his liabilities. Because he likes murder mystery novels, he decides to write a book about Wellington’s death and his detective work to solve the mystery; the one we read as a novel. He starts his detective work by asking some people that live in his street if they saw anyone kill Wellington or saw anything happening in the street on the night of Wellington’s death. During his questioning with his neighbors, he found out from Mrs. Alexander that his mom, Judy, had an affair with Mrs. Shears’s formal husband, Mr. Shears. Christopher’s father, Ed Boone, told Christopher that his mother died of a heart attack two years ago and left Christopher in Ed’s custody. One day, Ed discovers Christopher’s book and gets into a fight with Christopher for sticking his nose into other people’s business. Afterward, Christopher wanted to get his book back because he liked writing in it, so he went searching for it around his house. When he finally discovers it in a shirt box in his father’s room, he also discovers letters from his mom and read them. He realizes that his mom wasn’t dead as his father claimed but living in London with Mr. Shears. She ran away with Mr. Shears two years ago, no longer capable to care for Christopher. He developed pain, which caused him to black out. When Ed discovers Christopher reading the letter, Ed told him that he was very sorry and explained why he didn’t what to tell Christopher that his mom wasn’t dead. Ed said that he never meant to hurt Christopher in any way. Ed also confessed that he was the one who killed Wellington. Mrs. Shears used to care for Ed, Christopher, and their house. Ed and Mrs. Shears were really good friends, until they had an argument one day. Ed thought that Mrs. Shears cared more for her poodle than for Ed and Christopher, so he killed Wellington. His dad’s confession scared Christopher and he thought that he murdered too. So he hid in the shed that night and decides to live with his mother in London, England. With fears and difficulty, he took the train to London, flinging off the police twice so he can avoid being captured and get returned to his dad. However, taking the train was traumatic for him because there were crowds of people and loud noise filled the air. He also almost lost his pet rat Toby. His mother Judy gets surprised when she sees him waiting for her at the door. As the story goes on, she decides to leave her long-time lover and returns home in Swindon with her son. After returning home from Swindon, Christopher returns to a more stable life. He and his mother Judy find themselves a new home as she continues to care for Christopher. Christopher stays with his dad in the daytime when his mother goes to work. When his pet rat Toby dies of old age, Ed gives him a two-month-old golden retriever as a way to regain Christopher’s trust. Christopher named the dog Sandy. Christopher takes his A- level exam and g

First of all, I would not use "normal humans". Maybe humans who do not have this condition, or anything like that, because normality and abnormality are such terms that are hard to put into some limits, and "normal humans" actually sounds like an insult to autists. arithmetically- gifted - also doesn't sound too well. Maybe gifted in mathematics, or something like that. And about the report itself - it is just a retelling of the story. Maybe you should choose a topic from the book and explore it deeper? Like family relationships [how can a mother leave her child?], how Christopher perceives this world, how he ignores to see and understand the tragedy of his family? Is it fair how the author ends the story? There are really many controversial things in this story.
